About Spooky Events
Hi. I’m Jennifer Rapkins: witchy shopkeeper, community builder, photographer and designer. I’ve spent nearly a decade managing high-end design projects, running digital marketing campaigns, and now... hosting markets and retreats that bring the spooky, spiritual, and small biz worlds together.
Spooky Events is the umbrella for the many weird and wonderful things I organize, including the annual Spooky at the Station, Roots & Renewal, over in Langford, BC ...and whatever magical mischief comes next.
While I don’t pretend to know everything (honestly, who does?), I do believe in honest conversations, transparency, well-run events, and creating space for the metaphysical and maker communities to actually thrive.
You won’t find a whole “About” page here because, frankly, this isn’t all about me. Some events are solo-led, others are in collaboration with people I trust and admire - those partners will be featured where it counts: on the event pages themselves.

Roots & Renewal Market 2026
Celebrate the Spring Equinox with us at this one-day-only event focused on ritual, renewal, and community. Featuring metaphysical makers, holistic goods, fresh spring goods, mothers day inspiration, food trucks, and more... this spring market is your place to recharge, shop with intention, and welcome the season of growth.

Spooky Retreats: TBA
We’re planning a weekend retreat just for the ghouls... a two-night pajama party meets spiritual reset, exclusively for women. Friday to Sunday with witchy workshops, keynote speakers, all-inclusive food, and space to connect with other incredible women in our spooky little community. It’ll be equal parts cozy and magical - with just enough mischief to keep things interesting.

What is Spooky Events, exactly?
We're a collection of markets, retreats, and gatherings that blend magic, community, and small biz love... with a spooky twist. Spooky Events is owned by Jennifer Rapkins, owner of Langford's Metaphysical Shoppe "The Hermit's Path" who works collaboratively with others to put on markets and retreats (and maybe more!)
What happened to "Spooky at the Station"?
Spooky at the Station is one of our flagship events! You’ll find its full info under the Events section. Spooky at the Station is our Halloween market at Langford Station!
How do I become a vendor?
Vendor applications open seasonally (and far in advance) and are posted on each event page. If they're not open yet, you can usually join the waitlist or mailing list to stay in the loop!
I’m a practitioner/reader/food truck... can I apply?
Short answer: probably! Each event has its own vibe and vendor mix. Check the event-specific application or email us if you're unsure. We are a curated/juried event - to ensure even distribution between vendor types. I will never take payment for food trucks, but there is a small fee with the City of Langford (for hook-ups). We usually invite 2-3 different types of readers for Spooky markets for a nice diversity. We encourage them to sell additional product for variety/interest (but not necessary)!
Are your events family friendly?
Yup! Spooky at the Station is EXTREMELY family friendly... we pull all the stops on that one. Roots + Renewal aims towards an older audience, but kids and pets are certainly still welcome. Retreats are limited to women/women-identified only, and are 18+.
Do you collaborate with other market hosts?
Yep! While most events are led by Jennifer (hi 👋), some are co-hosted with other rad humans who help make the magic happen. They'll be featured on each event page. :)
